Tis the season to… deal with stressors! No, no, no… it should be
“to be jolly!” … right? Amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday
season, it’s so easy to forget about ourselves and let our health and
well-being slip to the wayside. Yes, there are feasts to be cooked,
decorations to be hung with care, shopping quests to be conquered, merry
events to attend, traditions to be carried out, and people to see…

best gifts you can give your loved ones is yourself. Your happy,
healthy, balanced self, that is. It’s difficult to be a good parent,
friend, co-worker, spouse, or person when any part of our body, mind, or
soul is undernourished.
In today’s society, there is so much pressure to be productive all the
time. Often it seems like we complete one task, only to have four more
piled on top of us. Going from one thing to the next without taking time
to relax and take care of yourself will make you less productive in the
long run - seriously! Just like lumberjacks need to stop once in a while
to sharpen their blade, or pilots need to stop to refuel their planes…
